“The Tension between the painting as an object and of its illusionary qualities have always fascinated me. The surface of a piece should have just as much interest as the statement of the work. The more the viewer has to pull from, the more angles you approach a piece the more substance- physically and .artistic, are key for the progress of what a work can hold within. The scenarios are like quick snap shots of a full story that can be taken to have a full narrative. Yet I will never be the one to tell you what the work is about- it takes something away from you-the viewing public. It bashes your ideas. And that is just wrong” AMM
